Commer Trucks established in 1905 and were produced right up until 1979. Inventors of the TS3 engine designed for their heavier trucks this engine (known as the Commer Knocker from its sound) was a three cylinder six piston diesel engine. some of the petrol engines were derived from the Humber and the TS3 came from the Humber factory both companies owned by the Rootes group.
