Engine, Cooling & Gearbox parts for the Morris CV. The CV and CVS range (1937 to 1952) designed to be a new system of trucks using all the previous knowledge Morris Commercial had learned as they improved. The previous C-type used a system whereby parts interchanged between all the different capacity trucks. It worked great and was further improved meaning far less part numbers were required.
It was also the beginning of the Equiload braking system where Morris Commercial must have worked very closely with Lockheed to work out a braking system that shared the braking between axles front and rear. So Load and braking were to be equalised.
The LC range came under this model too but is on it's own for the purposes of this web page. CV models came in many weight capacities from 30cwt and Two, Three, and 5 ton, CVs were also available in a short nose Forward Control, but the Normal Control model out sold it many times over. The Forward Control is very rare now.
