The Austin Gipsy was a 4 wheel Drive built by Austin to get a slice of the 4wd market in the UK dominated by the Land Rover, They were manufactured to be a cheaper vehicle than the Austin Champ, which was to expensive to compete. The Champ was manufactured between 1958 to 1968 and was powered by the Austin A70 2.2 litre of 62hp
