Austin WF Brake & Hydraulic parts. The WF 'Normal control truck was first released during 1964. The Austin Truck had improved over the years and the tried and true 4.0 litre had started in 1939 as a 3.5 litre 28.5 hp and by the WF was making 102hp. Now with an improved cam and head that had ports way bigger than earlier, larger throttle bodies double the size of early models. The Cab also for the first time got Dual headlights mounted almost vertically but not. The split windscreen now gone and replaced by a modern wrap around screen, Very popular trucks they were produced well into the 1970's. From early 1968 and all of 1969 the WF wore 'BMC' badges proudly up front and in 1970 the 'LEYLAND' badge appeared and that's the one it continued on with the until end of production. Many Carnation Red WF short door 3 and 5 tonners were used by the Australian Bush Fire Brigades (Heros) All of them retired and have survived well, there are many in wonderful original condition complete with tanks pumps and hoses. These trucks were always shedded and looked after meticulously.
