Austin FG Body & Cab parts. Austin FG Fuel System and Exhaust parts. Austin FG Engine, Cooling & Gearbox parts. Austin FG Brake & Hydraulic parts. The FG or S200 as the first 30cwt model that was released was called came just in time for the end of the 30cwt LC5 Normal control. Although not a normal control many 30cwt (1.5 ton) buyers were turned towards this model if they weren't interested in the WEK30 the lightweight Loadstar derived Normal Control truck (which had most of the LC5 running gear in it).
The S200 and later named FG K30 (the K meant is was built in Bathgate Scotland and 30 meant 30 cwt) was a bold new design with features not tried on a truck cab previously. The angled cab for instance, the back corners were cut off and suicide doors fitted so the door was opened it hardly protruded further than the width of the cab meaning drivers could alight and get back in to the cab even in the tightest of narrow laneways. Many people called this cab the 'Threepenny Bit' because of the cut off corners. Also were fitted knee high front corner windows, an aid to maneuvering in tight transport yards or everyday parking etc.
Soon to come after the FGK30 were all the larger models in 40, 60, 80 and 100 cwt models (2, 3, 4, and 5 ton models).
