Austin Healey was a pairing of Donald Healeys Healey 100 and the Austin Motor company as part of BMC headed at the time by Leonard Lord. who is known to have taken joy playing Austin against Morris, I think Lord believed the little Healey would be a good alternative to the MG TC, both cars even came from the same factory at Abingdon. The AH100 had a 4 cylinder 2660cc ohv engine, and it was soon fitted with an inline 6 cylinder then the top speeds grew as horse power grew. The Little Sports Cars were produced from 1953 to 1971.
